James Nicholas “Nick” Rumple, Sr., age 57, of Kannapolis passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Rumple was born December 30, 1959 in Cabarrus County the son of William E. Rumple and Dolly Mae Hughes Rumple of Kannapolis. Nick attended Kannapolis City Schools and Rowan Technical School. He worked as a radio announcer for WGTL, Cannon Mills and Floor Sheen. He enjoyed ham radio, astronomy, electronics and making pizza.
Those left to cherish his memories in addition to his parents are his son James Nicholas Rumple, Jr. of Kannapolis; sister Connie Rumple of Kannapolis; uncle Daniel Rumple; aunt Johnsie Christy; cousins Laurel and Heath Rumple, Bernice and BJ Christy; his beloved cats Stella and Charlie Brown.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 12 from 5-7:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to charity of donor’s choice.
